Fab Friends~ Interview with a Human Bimby!

Today we have another interview with another one of my fantastic friends. Yingzhe is multilingual able to speak fantastic, English, Chinese and Italian, incredibly bright and can cook absolutely anything!

First tell us a bit about yourself:

Hi! I'm Yingzhe, 25 y.o. I was born and raised in a Chinese coastal city called Xiamen 厦门. Now I stay in Venice (Italy) because of my studies. This year is my third year in Italy.

Tell us about your work?

Actually I'm still studying so I don't have much chance to try a full-time work. I used to work as interpreter, translator or an intern at various institutions (company, local trade committee, university office, etc). Currently I'm working as an university tutor of Italian language courses. Among all these jobs I've tried, my favourite one was the internship at the PR department of an fashion eye-wear company. So probably I'll try to find same type of job in the near future.

Tell us about your brand?

Establishing one's brand has become quite popular and less complicated in this golden era of social media. It doesn't has necessarily to be a concrete ‘brand’. Sometimes it's just an exclusive and accessible channel, for example, articles on your own web page, videos on your YouTube channel or even just some photos in your Instagram profile, which is able to connect audience with values that you wish to spread. I've just opened up an Instagram page to share unique food I ate or some culinary ideas. Instagram is a handful platform that I am familiar with. Maybe in the future I'll try to enrich my contents with short videos or articles. I'm still slowly exploring the best solution to realise all my weird ideas in this splendid virtual world. LOL.

What inspires you to create?

I'm prudent about selecting things I eventually create and public. It's not the problem of how to find more inspiration, break limits and thrive to make all my idea come true, but a crucial question on what I look for through creation. Each 'brand' has its stories and objects. Personally speaking, the core of contents that I want to create is about life, and of course it's the fountain of my inspiration. I want to show people what's my passion of life and also enjoy the passion during this procedure. It is the principle that I always insist especially when it comes to my 'brand', which is also part of my life. Just like the Chinese cliche "勿忘初心" says, remain true to the reason why you stared in the first place . Contents and forms might change at any moment but never will the philosophy behind it.

Who inspires you the most?

My father! An open-minded, positive, humorous but normal Chinese guy. In him I see most of the characters or spirits that I want to pursue as a human being. I'm not going to narrate those common moving stories about how he raised me up or how great he is as a father. The simplest reason is that I always receive support and encouragement from a person that I know, I trust and deeply admire. I should also grant this award to my mother. At the end I'm part of the 'brand' this couple created and my inspiration comes from my life, in which they play very important roles.

Where would you like to see yourself/ your brand in 5-10 years time

So I wish I was a person with decent (hopefully not too stressful) day job and a independent creator of my 'brand', either still food pics or other possible contents.

Lastly where can we find you? (website, social media etc)

On Instagram! :)
