Catch the flavour (IN SEOUL): Root!
I know I did not write much about my favourite spots in Korea, with the exemption of my favourite galleries but an honourable mention has to be my favourite cafe for food in Seoul. I first discovered Root when I went to the Leeum Museum for the first time. It's not too far. Being in Venice where Italians eat heavy carb loaded pizza and pasta everyday keeps me yearning for easier to digest and lighter food that I am more used to. When I wasn't gorging on Korean BBQ and hangover soup I could be found in this chic neighbourhood eating vegetable sushi and avocado on toast. Yes I went there. And it was delicious. The bowls are between 11,000-18,000 KRW and they are full of healthy and well flavoured goodness.
The staff are super friendly and service is prompt. Even though it's a small place they offer indoor and outdoor seating and an option for takeaways too! If you are passing through Hannam-dong (Hangangjin exit 1 on line number 6) You must grab a bowl or Kale juice from this amazing place!
